The organizer of the largest domestic forestry event, which traditionally includes the Czech championship in working with a chainsaw, is the Military Forests and Estates of the Czech Republic, in whose premises the event takes place at the Skelná huti near Mimoná in Liberecko.

Event program:
National Chainsaw Championship
The traditional national chainsaw championship will also be part of the two-day program. The best lumbermen will perform in the disciplines of felling, debranching, combined and precision cutting, and the final discipline will be debranching. Everything will take place right in front of the visitors.
Forest pedagogy and other programs for children
VLS forest pedagogues will be waiting for the smallest visitors of the Forest Day with a whole series of disciplines and activities in the giant tent with the inscription “VLS for children” and at the stations in the adjacent forest. 122 / 5 000 Výsledky překladu Výsledek překladu They will receive a diploma and, of course, a small gift for completing the tasks, which include “recognition” of woody plants and herbs.
STIHL Timbersports show
In the USA and Canada, the lumberjack tournament took place already in the century before last and enjoyed great popularity at the regional level. The STIHL Timbersports sports discipline has evolved from overseas competitions, which is an attractive demonstration of forestry skills from the times when the main tool of the woodcutter was an ax and a hand saw. And it is the Czech Republic that belongs to the world powers in these sports disciplines, thanks to the reigning Czech champion and participant in the 2022 World Championship, Martin Roušal, who should present himself at Skelná hut.
Demonstration of forestry and other technology
From manual chainsaws to the most powerful harvesters, from garden tractors to heavy forestry equipment. You will be able to see all of this on the forestry day as part of the exhibition of forestry and garden equipment from renowned manufacturers and importers. It will include equipment for forestry professionals, but also tools and equipment designed for amateur use in your garden or property. Here you will also find a presentation of additional technology that is related to the use of wood – for example, wood chip boilers. There will also be equipment and clothing for outdoor activities or hunting.
Exhibition of trophies and hunting
On the area, visitors can also see an exhibition of trophies and shots from the hunts of the VLS Mimoň division from the hunting season – 2022/23. The program will include a commented exhibition of hunting dogs and demonstrations of predators.
